Alone time... Me??
When I sometimes find mysekf alone, I think back to my high school years back when I loved being alone, when alone time was not something I needed but something I wanted. Now that I am a mother to four beautiful children my alone time is very limited, but I honestly dont want it, unless my mind and body desperately asks for it. I love the time I can spend with my family friends and the time I can spend with my husband as a couple. I treasure every single minute I am with company, what can I say, I am a peoples person. But when I find my self treating my mind to freetime, allowing it to think what it pleassures it, is when I realize that when were young we have no idea what we really want. We are really imature, our idea of perfect is the perfectly "Me" life, we get lost in the idea that if we work on ourselves all the time we will achieve happiness but now I personally believe this is not the case and it is completely the opposite. It is the possibility of making others happy. Being able to put a waffle in the toaster and serving it with their favorite syrup, seeing their little faces light up and after theyre all done eating, hearing their beautiful voices saying "Thank you, mom" is such a wonderful feeling. Now dont get me wrong one should never feel guilty when we find ourselves needing those minutes of quietness, peace withoutthe baby crying in the background while older children ask for one a milkion things, because we are human we need many things to be healthy ... Both being alone at times and having loved ones around as well are some of thise things!

Keeping the kids active is very important for both their physical and emotional development. Kids learn by experiencing things, they build neuro connections when they see, feel, touch and smell mew things. The majority of us already know this, now the question is
How do we allow this development to occur with out falling into the boredness of a routine.? ( and without having our house turned upside down)
There are ways of doing so but one of my favorites and the one I will talk about today is outdoor activies. Yes ! Being outdoors is always exciting for the kids, and we can feel happy to see them happy and proud that we are helping them build those neuro connections. Ok so now lets get to some different outdoor activies we can enjoy with our kiddos.
The park ! taking the kids to the park is something most of us can and most likely already do, but we don't often realize that this can be an incredible place in the eyes of our children. For example I have a 2 year old Who is very active. We take him to the park bring a ball with us and allow him to just run and play on the grass, no rules ! Here he can freely kick the ball no goal has to be made, he can grab the ball and throw it if thats what he desires to do. We also allow him to sit lay and roll on the grass, its amazing how much he enjoys doing this, and when he does this he might be learning by touching feeling the texture of the grass Ive even seen him smell the grass and boila there he is building connections! Allowing him to kick the ball to daddy while mommy claps and acts all excited he is building his self esteem, the feeling that he can do things and that he shouldnt feel scare to try new things and yes we can begin helping our children building their seelf esteem, trust and security at a very young age.
This are only a few of the many ways we can allow our children to explore and learn in the park.
There are also other activities you can try at the swings, slides and even by having a simple picnic wth them. All of these activities can include pretend play which kids love and also poses many benefits for the child .
So next time youre thinking of ways your child can get all that energy out and learn at the same time think Park !

Hiking is another great option, you can do it with kids of all ages but My personal opinion is that it is more enjoyable with older kids 6+ years old I would say.
You can do short hiking trips, this way tkids wont get to tired and both you and thm can enjoy it. While hiking you can talk to the child about the different plants and trees you see also about the bugs and other animals you might see. Its so nice how tge child can be both physically and mentally active as I like to call it, they can exercise and lear at the same time. One of my favorite things about this option is the tranquility you can experience and the quality of time you get to spend with your family since most electronics wont have any signal up there lol.
WoW fresh air, no phones, learning and exercise !
Swimming is another physical outdoor activity you can enjoy with your family. According to the Livestrong website, this activity gives kids a great opportunity to excersise without straining their body. It has also been found to be beneficial for asthmatic kids, since it is not extrenous and kids increase lung volume while regularly performing the activity. It is a great option since the whole family can gather around the pool and share moments together. Kids will fun, parents will have fun and both will be building memories and at the same time staying active to be healthy.
Do grab your towel get your family together and head out to a Lake or a pool !
( always remember to never leave children near water wiiut supervision, have fun but be safe at all times)

Picture Perfect Labor
I cannot say 2013 was a perfect year, but I can surely say it was full of blessings and satisfsctions. I went through most of the year pregnant... when we planned on getting pregnant I never thought that I would experience so many pregnancy related sickness, why would I? if through my other 3 pregnancies I felt ok. At the end it was all very well worth it, my 4th baby came to this world on October 27, after 11+ hours of labor and a prelapsed cord and feet first baby!... oh my! it sure was a scary experience, but again who ever said giving birth was a pretty experience, I mean it is a blessing and listening to your babie`s first cry is a beautiful and unique experience but the pain and the unexpected events you have to go through to bring your bundle of joy to this world is nothing but horrible! we should be able to sue holywood for painting such a fake picture about the labor experience. Beautiful, nice hair perfect make up and such calm women are only the case in about 10% of the time... but sadly most of us fall in the other 90%.Ladies who scream hysterically for pain meds, whose hair is not in perfect place, and with 0 make up on is the description of those who fall ithe 90%. Im sorry ladies, but Im sure most of you will agree with me.
Haha I love how my blod entries never end the way I initially thought they would, the fact that I have 3 kids running around and 1 baby demanding to get some attention always make me end my entries unexpectedly.
well ladies until the next time... take care and dont forget to hug and kiss your liitle ones !

Embarking on a New Journey
OK, So I definitely don't know where this Journey will take me but I am very excited to embark it.
Let me begin by introducing my self, my name is Karla I am a mother, sister, daughter, wife, friend and student (wohoo yayy it feels good to be able to tell world, that Yes it is possible to be all of it). I am the mother to 4 beautiful children, two girls and two boys ... ages 6, 5, 2 and of a 2 month old baby. The two oldest are my princess' and two youngest are my boys, I love being a mommy but I know it can get tough at times, so that is why I decided to start blogging about my everyday life. Here I will blog about happy moments, difficult situations we face as mothers and many other topics of interest that come up as we continue the Journey of motherhood together. I want this Blog to be more than a blog, I want us to find a helping hand, an emotional support and most importantly a friend! because lets be honest sometimes we can be all of what I mentioned above but we find no one being anything to us! Sad but true.
So I want to ask anyone who visits my blog site to say Hi and introduce yourself... I will def try to post often I want to start with at least 3 times a week, so check in often and don't miss out the fun
meet my children...
ohh and the man that can sometimes drive me crazy, but that I love with all my heart
